Cory Osborne is a longtime bassist, songwriter, and sonic explorer based in Chicago.

For over three decades, he’s been immersed in music—shaping low-end textures and rhythms in shoegaze, dream pop, and post-rock bands like Lightfoils (his current project), Airiel, Panda Riot, and Tom Spacey. His playing focuses on feel and atmosphere, anchoring the haze with melody and motion. Whether performing live or layering tracks in the studio, he has always been driven by a desire to create immersive experiences that resonate emotionally and spiritually.

In recent years, he has found a new passion in photography and visual storytelling. What started as a curiosity has grown into a deeply personal form of expression. With a camera in hand, he aims to collaborate not just with fellow musicians, but with other everyday people he meets on the street—capturing honest, human moments. For Osborne, art is a form of service: it documents our time and place, it brings people together, and it builds community. Whether through music or images, he believes in creating work that reflects the world as it is—and as it could be.

Outside of music and photography, he is a father of two, was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult—a discovery that reframed how he understood his creative process, attention, and drive. Cory tends to follow his curiosity wherever it leads, often juggling multiple passions at once. But at the core of everything he does is a desire to connect—with people, with place, and with the moment.
